Tasting note from from 26.12.2017, Copyright Peter Müller

In rich golden yellow the wine shows itself clear and shiny in the glass.

The 2016 Aux Bêtises from David Reynaud is austere and restrained, but also makes it unmistakably clear that patience is a virtue.
This wine requires a carafe and should definitely be opened in time before enjoyment. Delicate fruit notes of green apple meet the fresh, quiet notes of avocado, green hazelnuts and the highest quality olive oil. Discreet peppery notes and this cooling scent of wet stone after a summer rain give the wine enormous elegance.

On the palate, the Crozes Hermitage Blanc from Marsanne and Roussanne packs a punch. Velvety, creamy and yet with emphasis, it glides down the throat. Discreet acidity gives the wine grip and allows it to shine with gritty lingering finish and cool elegance. A straightforward and true gentleman.

Food recommendations by Peter Müller:

  • Leek quiche (vegetarian)
(Pasta, Pizza, Polenta & Risotto, Onion vegetables, Casserole, Soufflé, Quiche, Vegetarian dishes)
  • Veal tartar with caper cream and toasted sourdough bread
    (meat, veal)
  • Confit scallops and sea bass in shi take dashi broth
(fish, sea bass, seafood, oysters & mussels)
