The Cremant d'Alsace is a cuvée of white Burgundy, Auxerrois and Chardonnay. Grown at the foot of the commune of Katzenthal on marl and limestone soils, the grapes are harvested by hand and the whole clusters are then gently pneumatically pressed slowly for six hours. The wine is not chaptalised or acidified, it is fermented spontaneously with its own yeasts in temperature-controlled vats. The base wine then matures in barrels on the fine yeast until it is bottled. The wine remains on the yeast for at least 12 months, and only after degorgement is a small amount of sulphur added.
Color
Pale pale yellow with a silver tapered rim and small bubbles.
Nose
Blossoms, white stone fruit and ripe pome fruit outline this Cremant, which charms with youthful fruit rather than autolysis notes. Lime blossom and lilac are accompanied by white peach and yellow apples, and in the distance you can sense a fluffy, soft yeast plait thickly spread with sweet cream butter.
Mouth
With a present mousseux, the NV Cremant d'Alsace LCAS19 by Clement Klur is clear as a bell on the palate and captivates aromatically with its youthful fruit. Light-hearted and light on its feet, this cuvée accompanies life's exhilarating moments with or without food in the company of dear friends.
