Color
Muted garnet red with clear violet reflections.
Nose
On the nose, the 2016 Roche-Audran Côtes du Rhône Cuvée César shows beautiful spicy berry fruit, dark cherries, rosemary, thyme and juniper, mixed with charming chocolate and vanilla notes. Hints of liquorice and eucalyptus add an ethereal touch with a balsamic tinge.
Palate
With soft fullness it lays like a velvet carpet on the tongue, fine fruit sweetness, polished tannin and an inspiring acidity. A coherent drinking wine, beautifully matured with a supple structure and lots of charm. Perfect with meat dishes of all kinds, especially for the upcoming barbecue season!
