Color
Bright, sparkling golden yellow with delicate silvery reflections.
Nose
The 2019 Côtes du Rhône blanc is creamy yet fresh on the nose, with aromas of apricot, mango, peach, citrus, orange and orange blossom. The previous aging in oak barrels skillfully underlines the fruit and manifests itself in scents of almonds and nutshells. Herbs like rosemary and thyme as well as a breath fennel are also to be recognized after longer oxygen contact and emphasize its fresh approach.
Palate
On the palate, it presents itself as creamy as in the nose, with a delicate acidity that is beautifully embedded in its melting. Clearly recognizable are stimulating liquorice and anise notes, which are rounded off by spicy pepper flavours. The delicate tannin notes in the stimulating finish make it an excellent food companion of a rich Mediterranean cuisine.
Decant if possible before consumption and enjoy not too cold from a bulbous glass.
