Out of stock

The tannins are, typical for Gamay, round and silky, the wine seems mouth-watering and uncomplicated in a pleasant way. On the palate, the Gamay is fresh and juicy with a lively acidity, dark crisp fruits, sour cherries and lots of earthy spice.

Wine information

For this wine, Boris Champy used Gamay from different old vineyards. sélections massales. The vines are located in plots in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. They were planted very densely with 10,000 vines per hectare in Guyot training. For the Gamay, around 75 % whole bunches were fermented. The grapes were fermented spontaneously in wooden fermentation racks and the wine then aged for about twelve months in old pièce and expanded in the Fuder.

Nose

Boris Champys Côteaux Bourguignons Gamay Fin 2019 smells intensely of crisp cherries, wild berry confit, sous bois, a few squirts of blood orange juice and a ripe green hint of rape and herbs. This comes across as exceedingly fresh yet intense and darkly fruity. With air also hints of cloves and Amarena cherries show.

On the palate, the Gamay is fresh and juicy with a lively acidity, dark crisp fears, sour cherries and plenty of earthy spice. The tannins are, typical for Gamay, round and silky, the wine seems mouthwatering and uncomplicated in a pleasant way. It simply tastes of more!
