Wine information
Hand-harvested at 40 hl/ha from the slope bottom of the sandy south/south-east sites at 400-480 m altitude. The grapes were destemmed at 100 % and pressed with a pneumatic press after light skin contact. Fermentation took place in chilled steel tanks with wild yeasts, while the lees were stirred weekly. No fining and only light filtration before bottling.
Color
Elegant apricot.
Nose
On the nose, this rosé fascinates with fruit as well as herbaceous and vegetable aromas. In addition to sweet cherries, raspberries, strawberries and rhubarb, tarragon, rosemary, mint, juicy tomato and red pepper make an appearance. Floral fragrance underlines its invigorating and special character.
Palate
On the tongue, the 2021 1769 Clos Venturi Rosé is a perfect summer wine, herbaceous freshness is surrounded by charming fruit and a fine, salty spiciness, lots of umami. Wonderful as an aperitif and with Mediterranean cuisine, a wine to indulge in and wander off into the distance.
