Marketed simply as Vino Rosso, Francesco Cirelli's wine is made from 90% Montepulciano and 10% other grape varieties from organically produced, bought-in grapes.
The berries are destemmed and then carefully pressed before fermenting in steel tanks with selected yeast.
Color
Dark ruby red with violet reflections.
Nose
Exuberant red and dark fruits meet the inclined drinker at the first swirl of the goblet Amarena cherry, blackberries and mulberries are freshly flanked by plums and elderberries. A red wine that promises exhilarating drinking pleasure.
Mouth
The 2020 Vino Rosso biologico from Francesco Cirelli also delivers on the palate. Light-hearted, it shows its uncomplicated side, crisp and dry with clear fruit and polished tannin, it is the universal all-rounder and nonchalant representative of the new, contemporary Montepulciano.
