Info about the wine
"The Weißburgunder VDP Gutswein comes from the Weißburgunder vineyards in Gimmeldingen and Ruppertsberg, as well as from a pre-harvest of the old Weißburgunder vineyards in the VDP.Erste Lage Gimmeldinger Biengarten."
Info about the expansion
The grapes are always picked selectively by hand at low yields averaging 60 hl/ha and transported gently as whole bunches to the wine press house. After a not too long maceration period of two to three hours, the macerated grapes are gently and slowly pressed, only slightly pre-clarified by settling and then spontaneously fermented with the vineyard's own yeasts. Unfined and untreated, the wine matures in stainless steel and large, classic wooden barrels until bottling.
Color
Bright, sparkling golden yellow with clear green reflections.
Nose
The 2020 Weissburgunder VDP.Gutswein smells of ripe pear, apple and peach, accompanied by a fine almond and acacia note. With a little oxygen contact, delicate aromas of anise and ginger are added.
Palate
On the palate, it has a beautiful melting texture and a juicy fruitiness. Its fine acidity has an extremely invigorating effect and is beautifully buffered by fruit sweetness. A real all-rounder and entry-level wine that offers great drinking pleasure for every day.
