Color
bright cherry-red
Nose
The Les Chanlins is a Pommard 1er CruIt offers a very clear and fine fruit and accompanies it with a skilful use of wood, which expresses itself in a note reminiscent of nutty nougat. One also thinks of raspberries, blackberries and plums. On top of that, there is a hint of violets, and underneath, earth and undergrowth, and thus also an aroma that is typical for the region. Pommard typical note.
Palate
On the palate the Les Chanlins Very juicy and fresh, yet silky and creamy with a tight, still very firm tannin and a very straight, very lively acidity, combined with a minerality that gives the Pommard gives a lot of energy and tension. Besides the juicy fruit, which brings a very slight sweetness, it is the sous-bois, the undergrowth, and the warm forest soil that shape the wine aromatically. With plenty of air, this is already fun to drink now, but ideally, the Pommard not open until 2024.
