Color
Bright, radiant golden yellow with silvery reflections.
Nose
A powerful white wine takes the stage with the 2019 Châteuneuf du Pape Blanc Clos des Papes. Impressions of pear, apple and lemon peel in combination with hawthorn, liquorice and fennel are framed by striking minerality, oyster shell, dry biscuits and iodine sea air.
Palate
Its palate is also powerful, striking spiciness and saltiness are paired with juicy yellow fruit reminiscent of ripe mango and kumquat. A white wine that remains in memory for a long time and that will perfect all its facets with some maturity. In combination with intensive sauces and many spices, Châteuneuf du Pape Blanc is in the royal class to lead wine and food to perfect harmony.
Decant if possible before consumption and enjoy not too cold from a bulbous glass.
