Wine information
30 hectares of vineyards, spread over 17 parcels near Jouques, located about 30 kilometers north of Aix-en-Provence in the protection of the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, belong to Château Revelette. And the 2019 Rosé is a cuvée of 60 % Grenache noir, 20 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 10 % Carignan and Cinsault each. The grape varieties were fermented separately, but left on the skins for 15 hours beforehand. No malolactic fermentation, ageing in cement tanks. The pH is 3.32, the residual sugar 2 grams, the acidity 3.55 grams and the complete sulphur 65 mg/l.
Color
classic salmon Provence rosé
Nose
The Revelette Rosé 2019 smells elegant and fine of wild strawberry coulis, peach and red currants. The fruit is accompanied by herbs of Provence, some grapefruit and crushed stone. This is olfactory fresh, juicy and absolutely suitable for summer.
Palate
On the palate, the wine is fleshier and darker berried than expected. The Cabernet takes a position here, bringing in tannic structure and a bit of blackcurrant along with stalks, mixing up the lighter fruit of peaches and wild strawberries nicely. The wine remains juicy and fresh with elegant and lively acidity and a mineral and stony note on the finish.
