Info about the wine
The Domaine de l'enclos of the brothers Romain and Damien Bouchard was only founded in 2006. Most of the vineyards come from their parents' family estate, which previously operated under the Domaine Pascal Bouchard. Accordingly, they have their own vineyards, which they have also been cultivating organically since 2007.
The Chablis is spread over just under 15ha of vineyards in the area. The vines there have an average age of 30 years.
Color
Light straw yellow with green reflections and silver rim.
Nose
The 2020 Chablis from Domaine l'Enclos already shows the delicacy of Chablis in the bouquet, with apple, citrus, peach skin, almonds and dried pastries, accompanied by sea air and shells that have just washed up on the coast. Freshness and coolness are omnipresent. Wonderful entrée into the world of white Burgundies.
Palate
Freshness and finesse are the credo on the tongue, the impression of salt lemon omnipresent. With all its elegance, it literally grabs you with its vibrant nature and salty length. At the same time, it invigorates the palate and makes it crave for more with every sip. Playful Burgundy in its purest form. A pleasure also in combination with fine cuisine that is as purist as the wine itself. Sensational price-value ratio!
Decanting into the decanter and bulbous Burgundy glasses make it win additionally.
