Wine information

This Crémant is a cuvée of Chenin Blanc from an old vineyard and Grolleau from a young vineyard. The soils in Rochefort sur Loire are characterized by green and purple slate, volcanic rock and quartz. The fruit was harvested with yields of around 45 hl/ha in the first half of September 2019. After whole cluster pressing and spontaneous fermentation, the blend was drawn to bottle in December 2019, where it underwent a second fermentation. Disgorgement took place in March 2021. The dosage is just under 3 g/l.

Color

Salmon colour with lively perlage

Nose

The rosé Bulles de Live is naturally the somewhat more red-fruited variety of the two Crémants de Loire of the house. Thereby the Bulles de Liv but also a decidedly elegant nose, as yellow and red aromas balance each other out and are accompanied by a pleasantly fine form of yeast. At the same time, the rosé appears youthfully lively and fresh with lots of grapefruit, red currant and very small, still crisp wild strawberries.

Palate

On the palate the Bulles de Liv Rosé as well as to his golden Counterpart a pleasantly creamy texture in connection with a lively, but quite silky fine perlage. The fruit shows aspects of grapefruits and kumquats, red berries and crisp cherries. To this, the texture of the crémant offers a very light, pleasant resistance. The acidity seems lilting and fresh. Thanks to just under 3 grams of dosage, the crémant shows plenty of draw despite the fruit, and the dry overall impression obliterates any preconceptions one might rightly have about rosé crémants with their raspberry fruit richness and sweetness. Liv Vincendeau combines fruit, acidity, minerality, juiciness with an elegant texture and offers a very atmospheric rosé crémant.
