Visual impressions
A shimmering rosé gives the impression of freshly picked pomegranate seeds.

Scent
The de Sousa's Champagne Brut Rosé exudes a deep aroma of wild raspberries and wild strawberries, cassis and elderberries, a seductive and intense fruit bouquet. Complementing this, the nose is enveloped by striking notes of herbs and spices such as rosemary, juniper, bay leaf, cloves and freshly ground white pepper. Extremely powerful, mineral nuances are delightfully reminiscent of damp stone and freshly broken earth.

Taste
On the palate, the promise of the bouquet is fulfilled, the de Sousa's Champagne Brut Rosé appears equally stormy and intense. The juicy berry fruit is accompanied by a delightful play of pearls, fine saline notes and striking spiciness, making it an excellent companion at the table.

Background
Anchored in Avize, a spectacular village in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, the Champagne production of De Sousa et Fils seems to be blossoming. These elite vineyards offer the most grandiose Grand Cru grapes, which go into all of De Sousa's biodynamic products. But it's not just the majestic vineyards and aged vines that exceed an average age of a whopping 45 years that perfect the result, it's also the masterful art of Champagne making. With the gentlest of grape pressings and a thoughtful, slow maturation process as an absolute must, De Sousa's Champagnes offer a skilful expression of the most magnificent terroir Champagne has to offer.
