Out of stock

This is expressed in notes of almond croissants and creamy lemon curd. At the same time, however, the Vazart-Coquart also shows its cooler, chalkier and crisper side on the nose with notes of green apple, lemon peel and a little yuzu, crushed stone and fresh herbs.

Wine information

The Vazart-Coquart Brut Réserve Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru comes from a Grand Cru vineyard of eleven hectares in Chouilly. The average age of the Chardonnay vines there is 43 years. The vines are deeply rooted in belemnite chalk. The estate was in conversion to sustainable and organic viticulture. The first certified organic harvest was in 2020, and this cuvée used 65 % from the 2017 harvest, 5 % each from the 2016 and 2015 harvests, and 25 % from a réserve perpétuelle started in 1982, from which 40 % are taken and replenished each year. The base wine was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and underwent malolactic fermentation. The dégorgement was Champagne in March 2021 exclusively for Vinaturel with a dosage of 3.5 grams .

Color

Medium straw yellow with lively perlage

Nose

The Brut Réserve Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is a full and mature Champagne with a good proportion of Réserve wines. This is expressed in notes of almond croissants and creamy lemon curd. At the same time, however, the Vazart-Coquart also already shows its cooler, chalkier and crisper side on the nose with notes of green apple, lemon peel and a little yuzu, crushed stone and fresh herbs. On top of that lies a slightly iodiney note.

Palate

On the palate the Non-Vintage very lively with its perlage. The balance of volume and fine sweetness on the one hand and freshness and tension on the other is just right here. The Champagne appears juicy with stone and pome fruit notes and a few exotic nuances. In addition, there is again some almond biscuit and a little white chocolate. At the same time, the bright citrus notes are also found here, both in the form of lightly candied lemons and ginger as well as salt lemons with an effect that promotes the drinking flow. The discreet dosage has a positive effect on the freshness and the fine acidity that this grand cru offers.
