Color
Dense cherry red with light rim.
Nose
The 2019 Pinot Noir from the Clos de la Perrière monopollage gives a dark and clear first impression. Elderberry, sweet cherries and sour cherries appear intensely fragrant. This is underpinned by a fine spiciness based on cedar, wet stone and juniper. Very discreetly, some damp forest soil, ethereal pine needles and dried pine cones spread. The wine shows discreet green nuances and is provided with light bitter substances. Presumably, the whole grape pressing provides a more masculine framework.
Palate
And it picks up exactly there. Dark fruit is carried by a cool finesse. The light spiciness lashes out into a discreet bitterness. It presents itself like wrapped in silk. Racy and slender. In the aftertaste, the sour cherry paired with the ethereal nuances of juniper and pine needles come through perfectly. Underwood, autumn and mushrooms bundle up emotionally to a sensory rainy forest walk in autumn.
