Color
Light yellow with slight cloudiness.
Nose
The 2018 Landré Bourgogne blanc from Domaine Derain delivers a fruit-forward jovial appearance in the glass. Fruit-driven, it smells of a basket of fresh apples, small plump pears and orange zest. All of this is nonchalantly grounded by notes of fresh mushrooms and golden straw, with lime blossoms and meadow hay showing with more and more air. Puristic and upright performance.
Mouth
On the palate, it is juicy with fine acidity and chalky minerality. With a creamy texture and delicate spice, it is the best proof that Burgundy can give great pleasure in the white entry-level range. Juicy apple, lemon zest as well as some anise and fennel in the reverberation make the wheel go round. With good balance, it flows calmly and unagitatedly into the goblet and enjoys itself as a soloist as well as with uncomplicated dishes.
