Julien Altaber grew up on a farm in southern Burgundy. He knew early on that wine was his great passion - tending the vines throughout the year in the vineyards, accompanying the grapes and the wine from them in the cellar, but intervening as little as possible. Each of his wines is made without the addition of oenological products and with minimal intervention. He learned about biodynamic farming from Dominque Derain, with whom he has been working since 2002, and immediately knew that he felt at home in it. In 2007, he gave in to his need to "do his own thing" and founded the "Sextant" winery. He produces wines from the best appellations of the Côte de Beaune Saint Aubin, Puligny Montrachet and Pommard. Nevertheless, his goal is not to produce a "Grand Vin", but a "True Wine" honest, with maximum drinkability.
