Nose
What a fragrance pours from the glass of the 2019 Blaufränkisch Ried Altenberg Blackberries, elderberries, sweet blueberries and cassis, combined with beguiling floral scents reminiscent of elderberry, ivy and rose petals. Notes of cinnamon and aniseed reinforce this sexy touch. Leather, wood smoke and tobacco reveal its depth, complexity and great ageing potential even in its youthful stage.
Palate
Juicy, expansive and at the same time elegant and multi-faceted, it beguiles with its extremely polished tannin structure, stimulating acidity and brilliant fruit on the tongue. Compact minerality and a salty impression are omnipresent, the drinking flow is simply wonderful. A lot of wine in the glass at a fantastic price-value ratio.
