Out of stock

And despite the warmth of the vintage, a cool vein can already be found in the nose, in which mint and a little thyme flash up. The Zweigelt is charming and at the same time has substance and character, balanced between cherry fruit, fine spice and lively, silky acidity.

Wine information

The Zweigelt grapes come from the Parndorfer Platte. The grapes were harvested from the end of August to mid-September. After the hand harvest and sorting, the Zweigelt was fermented spontaneously in the fermentation rack and, after slow pressing in the basket press, aged in large wood until February 2020.

Color

radiant ruby red with purple reflections

Nose

In the nose opens the 2018 Zweigelt Fruity and fine with a slightly sweet yeast note. Cherries determine the aroma here. Sweet and ripe are the black cherries, acidity brings the sour cherries. They are accompanied by some blackberries and ripe plums. And despite the warmth of the vintage, a cool vein can be found here already in the nose, in which mint and a little thyme flash up.

Palate

On the palate, the wine shows a lot of fruit, which is framed by a silky and yet somehow grippy tannin. Quite Zweigelt, the wine presents itself charming and at the same time with substance and character, balanced between cherry fruit, fine spice and lively silky acidity.
