In 2002, Steffen and Daniela Mugler took over the Schädler winery in Maikammer. The winery was modernized, while the structures of the family winery were maintained and converted to biodynamic cultivation. For Muglers, the rhythm of nature is paramount, starting from the basis of all life - the soil. Strengthening the vines in the sense of a natural circular economy is the prerequisite for the best grapes for the best wines. From the harvest to the maturation, all steps are done by hand.
The Blanc de Noir consists of 100% Pinot Noir and was pressed directly.
Color
Medium straw yellow with apricot reflections.
Nose
The 2021 Cuvée blanc smells of ripe yellow stone fruit like apricots and plump peaches. In the top note, it turns reddish and is reminiscent of small wild raspberries and small heart cherries. Fluffy fine candyfloss clouds float in this radiantly unclouded rosé sky.
Mouth
On the palate, the hedonistic, expansive fruit is tightly contoured with good bite and a driving acidity. The fruit focuses on the extract, the overall appearance is oriented towards the flow of a refreshing white wine and offers squeaky-clean fun in the glass.
Food recommendations from Sebastian Bordthäuser

- Mackerel with passion fruit and thyme
- Grilled pork neck "Azores style" with fresh pineapple on top
