Brilliant straw yellow, delicate green reflections
Nose
The white Cabernet Franc from the 2020 vintage combines dark and light attributes on the nose. The currant bush is quite dominant. Both the foliage and the branches are clearly perceptible. White currant, raspberry, sour cherry and cassis are noticeable. White peach and a little grapefruit buzz discreetly in the background. White flowers, such as jasmine, orchid and daisy, become more prominent with temperature and oxygen. As does the abrasion of bergamot.
Palate
On the palate, it has a contrary effect. It is clearly reminiscent of meagre Chenin Blancs with an emphasis on origin. Lime, chalk and flint. One can hardly decide. In addition, salty biscuits, dried herbs and almonds spread across the palate. Overall, it seems extremely taut and precise. This could also be a very good base for a sparkling wine! In the middle, it gathers a bit and bundles its structure and power into a fine stream. With a medium acidity, it pushes the salty, stony nuances on the palate. In the finish, dried herbs as well as fennel and coriander seeds are particularly effective.
