Nose
On the nose, it immediately draws you in with herbal, ethereal and herbal scents fresh citrus notes and exotic hints reminiscent of guava, pineapple and honeydew melon. Salty sea breeze brushes past and becomes more intense with longer opening.
Palate
On the palate, the 2021 Bianco Porticello from Tenuta di Castellaro literally packs a punch with plenty of spice and lively citrus fruit of lime and orange. A white wine that you can chew and that harmonises perfectly with aromatic and intense summer cuisine. The long, spicy, delicately salty finish encourages you to take a second sip; you feel transported directly to the sea.
