Wine information
Pure-grained rosé made from Sangiovese from 4.5 hectares on Monte Amiata at an altitude of 600 metres. The soil is characterised by carbonate and limestone marl. The vines are 15 years old and are in conversion to biodynamics. The wine was pressed slowly, fermented spontaneously and matured in stainless steel.
Color
quite intense but transparent pink
Nose
The 2021 Pink by Bakkanali is complex and fragrant on the nose with lots of red berries, especially redcurrants and raspberries. In addition, there are pomegranate seeds and some peach as well as red apple. In addition, one can sense herbs and a hint of eagle owl.
Mouth
On the palate, this is an extremely juicy and intense rosé that is fun to drink from the first moment. This is ensured by the acidity structure so typical of Sangiovese, which was certainly enhanced by the altitude. In addition, it appears typically agile due to its origin from the limestone. Here, too, red berries dominate together with some ripe red rhubarb. It is a crisp and yet also sensuously juicy as well as ripe rosé that leads into a long finish.
