Malty and smoky notes of hazelnut and toasted almond mingle with apricot, mango, orange zest, and brioche smeared with salty butter and honey. Fullness and saltiness combine with a lot of pressure and end in a long and animating finish.

Vineyard information
Nestled in Auxey-Duresses, the small but exquisite vineyard "Moulin aux Moines" covers 0.8 ha and counts as one of the four monopollages of the domaine. With a north to northeast orientation and an altitude of 298 m, this vineyard has been in operation since the early 21st century.

Terroir labelling
With its close proximity to Meursault, the vineyard benefits from a similar terroir, filled with the dominance of marl and limestone.

Production details
This harvest is selected by hand with a yield of 30-35 hl/ha. The following fermentation takes place in barriques over a period of 12-15 months, with a proportion of new barrels between 0 and 5%. Part of an exclusive production of only 1800 bottles.

It unfolds malty and smoky notes reminiscent of hazelnut and toasted almond, paired with exotic fruit notes of apricot and mango, refined complemented by hints of orange zest, and brioche generously spread with salty butter and honey.

On the palate, the wine unfolds its rich flavour of juicy fruits, paired with fine mineral notes and a fresh hint of citrus and citrus zest. Fullness and saltiness shape the character of this wine, which emerges with pressure and leads to a long-lasting and animating finish.

Enjoy this wine not too cold and from a Burgundy glass.

Alternative food recommendations
The wine is an excellent accompaniment to salmon sashimi with lemon and dill, veal rolls in a honey-mustard sauce and an exotic mango-shrimp pan. Connoisseurs of a grilled scallop on a bed of avocado will also be delighted.
