Wine information
This exclusive drop is 100% made from the Caiño Blanco grape, which thrives on a sandy-loamy granite soil with a strong character. A true luxury with a limited production of only 2666 bottles.
Processing
The hand-picked grapes are carefully selected and destemmed before being pressed in the pneumatic press. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in 500-litre French oak barrels, followed by 12 months of ageing and batonnage. Finally, the wine is minimally filtered.
Color
The intense golden yellow of the wine is a feast for the eyes.
Scent
At first, the 2019 Atalante seems like an enigma waiting to be unveiled in a glass carafe. Fresh mineral notes interweave harmoniously with the scent of grapefruit, banana, a hint of toast, latte and brittle. An exciting interplay of fresh and roasted herbs such as sage, rosemary and thyme adds depth.
Taste
As soon as the wine touches the palate, it reveals a wonderful spiciness, saltiness and grip. The flavour composition of grapefruit, orange and lime paired with a complex structure makes it an excellent companion for culinary delicacies. When drinking this wine, you can almost hear the sound of the sea - a true experience.
Enjoy this wine not too cold and from a large glass, having decanted it beforehand.
Alternative food recommendations
Try it with crispy vegetable strips with a lime and olive oil dip or a rich paella with salted seafood and saffron. It is also a great accompaniment to a fillet of sea bass on a bed of grilled vegetables, rounded off with rosemary potatoes and a good glug of olive oil.
