At "And the Winner is ..." is a cuvée of the white and white-fermented red grapes Xarello, Macabeo, Perellada and Monastrell. Olfactorically, the fruit plays only a minor role in this wine. Fruity apple, a few red sourberries, green almonds and lime peel meet stone, tart herbal notes and dry earth here. The wine seems very clear and as acidic as a base wine for Cava production.

Nose
The nose immediately exudes a warm, Mediterranean character without being overpowering. Orange peel, mandarin skin and its zest as well as freshly squeezed grapefruit flow out of the glass. In addition, a little almond blossom and dried thyme. Fresh, ethereal rosemary and green olives also come very opportunely. Almonds, pine nuts and also some green walnuts set clear accents in a tart direction. And the winner is... is by no means meant to sound or seem complex, because it is not meant to be and does not want to be.
Palate
On the palate, I would first like to positively emphasise its absolute finesse and the enormously low alcohol of 11% vol. It comes across as pleasantly unagitated, yet stony and cool. Paired with a fine fruit expression and a hint of orange and tangerine as well as some grapefruit, it shows itself light-footed and with a high drinking speed thanks to its taut acid structure. It lives from a very pleasant astringency. The impressions of the nose also come to the fore in the aftertaste.
