Nose
The 2016 Ampelia shows the Maremma in all its beauty, sweet black cherries, cranberries and plum jam, but also stimulating red-fruity notes of pomegranate, rosehip and red currant are waiting. With a little oxygen contact, distinctive hints of green pepper, cassis leaf, graphite and pepper join in. Feminine fragrance is lent by the clear violets and dark elderflowers.
Palate
On the tongue it waits with a wonderful freshness. Acidity, tannin and minerality and the beautiful fruit are in perfect harmony. He has nothing over-concentrated or overdosed, even the alcohol has for the southern climes, only moderate 13 Vol %. An absolutely harmonious drop in itself. Great cinema, fairly priced, there is just pure joy, bravo!
