With Domaine Marguet, we have discovered one of the few excellent representatives of vintner's champagne in the Montagne de Reims. Thanks to the stubbornness of Benoît Marguet's ancestors, who never sold their vineyards, the fifth generation of the family can enjoy excellent Pinot vineyards in Ambonnay and meanwhile also very good Chardonnay sites on the Côte des Blancs. Benoît is convinced that straightforward, honest wines can only come from a biodynamic approach. Here, the image of the horse ploughing in the vineyard is not just for show! In the cellar, renunciation of pure yeasts, for example, has top priority. In cooperation with the French cooper "Taransaud", two 40-hectoliter wooden barrels in the shape of an egg were created, which allow the must to circulate during fermentation and do not constrict it.
