Info
The 1903 of Domaine Roc des Anges is named after the date of planting of the Carignan vines on which it was grown in the plots of Sant Euénie, lo Ginèvre and Las Trabasseres.
Color
Muted violet with delicate lightening towards the rim.
Nose
The Carignan brings to mind crushed dark berries, cassis and sage leaves. The fruity first impression of the nose is complemented by spicy and ethereal hints of allspice, cinnamon and black pepper. Eucalyptus and black olives combined with floral notes manifest its Mediterranean character.
Palate
On the palate, it shows immense freshness and youthfulness. Dark fruit in connection with a fine and stimulating bitter note combines with a cool minerality. This red is really a delight and slightly chilled just the right counterpart to intense vegetable preparations and fish.
