Color
The wine is bright purple with a violet core, clear and shiny in the glass.
Nose
The first nose sets wild cherry as the cornerstone aroma of the wine. Rather spicy, this is accompanied by rosehip and sea buckthorn, which at the same time contribute a pleasant freshness. Earthy and vegetal notes of autumn trumpet and tomato paste as well as lovage, sage and nasturtium give depth and already draw silhouettes of the structure to be guessed.
Palate
At the palate is juggled, cheerfully tuning and to driving circus music. Not the bright red crisp fresh fruit is in the foreground, but the pleasantly tart and herbal pepper spice.
Or is it? Or do they? Or do they take turns?!
Juggling.
The 2018 Clos Venturi 1796 Rouge, made from Syrah and Sciaccarellu, exudes lightness while wearing a precise corset of tannins that give it impeccable body and steely structure. All the variables seem coherent and finely balanced. Set for drinking flow.
